A COMPETITION... GONE WRONG!
Someone told me earlier in the morning that he only do field days for fun! Eventually too many log entries are rejected. During my first 6 contacts as competitor, I realized that! The field stations didn't confirm the numbers, I was left with question marks and NON of the competition contestants gave me a grid locator!
Only one station, ZS4JAN questioned my grid locator as the is two places with the same name in SA... Ladismith WC and Ladysmith KZN! After explaining, and giving the grid locator of "my Ladismith... KF06PM and then my QTH... or field station... KF06OM he confirmed my position!
Well done to Jan and that is what I expect from any field day operator.... GRID LOCATOR! After all, that's whats its all about!

Next month, March 2020, another interesting destination in the planning! I will then add another "Touring Friend" as this month my Touring Friends is still quite.... February is hot and a terrible month for all!
